MAC OUI Lookup

Identify the hardware vendor behind a MAC address.

Why this exists

An unknown device on the LAN or in DHCP leases is just a MAC until you resolve the OUI. It also flags randomised (locally-administered) addresses, which is why a device keeps changing identity.

How to use
  1. Paste a MAC in any format (00:1A:2B…, 001A.2B…, 00-1A-2B…).
  2. The first 24 bits are matched against the IEEE registry to name the vendor.
  3. Locally-administered and multicast addresses are flagged.

Worked example

Paste a MAC in any format, 90:47:48:xx:xx:xx resolves to Sony Interactive Entertainment. Randomised (locally-administered) and multicast addresses are flagged.
